Describe the scope. We step in with a structured solution.
Development, revision, and certification support for IHM documentation in line with the Hong Kong Convention and EU Ship Recycling Regulation.

Safer operations — Cleaner tomorrow
We review available vessel documentation, identify hazardous materials in the ship's structure and equipment, prepare the vessel Sampling Check Plan, and coordinate onboard inspections and sampling. Sample analysis is carried out through our partner laboratory, accredited for the full range of substances on the hazardous materials list — you don't need to arrange or manage this yourself. We compile and maintain IHM Part I documentation for verification, and can extend the scope to Part II (Operationally Generated Waste) and Part III (Stores) on request.
Our service is suitable for shipowners, fleet managers, operators, shipyards and newbuilding projects that need to obtain, renew or maintain IHM documentation and demonstrate compliance during flag, class or Port State Control inspections. This includes offshore vessels, tankers, general cargo ships, fishing vessels and other vessel types on request. On request, we can also extend our support to aviation and other transport industries with similar hazardous materials compliance requirements. We handle the full package — from documentation review to certification-ready IHM — so you don't need to coordinate separate parties or worry about the details.
A clear, traceable and survey-ready IHM package identifying the type, location and approximate quantity of hazardous materials on board, together with supporting records required for verification. Where required, we coordinate with classification society surveyors for approval of the sampling scope and final documentation. We can also support ongoing IHM maintenance following equipment changes, repairs or vessel modifications.
An accurate and up-to-date IHM reduces the risk of survey delays, non-conformities and operational disruption. It also supports safer vessel recycling, due diligence during sale or transfer, and long-term environmental compliance.
Urgent requests are picked up within 12 hours, and a standard inventory is scoped and underway in 1–3 business days. You deal directly with the surveyor handling your file, not an account manager.
Both. We build the Part I inventory, coordinate onboard sampling, and carry the file through to certification — with guidance for the crew and yard when a Green Passport or recycling plan is also needed.
Yes — we work with owners and operators worldwide. Desk-based inventory work runs remotely; sampling and verification happen onboard wherever the vessel calls, with urgent cases covered around the clock.
A defined-scope job, like a new inventory or a Part I update, is quoted as a fixed price up front. Larger or ongoing work — keeping the IHM current across a fleet, for example — runs on transparent day rates, with no hidden extras.
IHM sits alongside two other service areas — Polar / Ice Navigation and Offshore / DP Operations — 21 services in total. If your project runs into procedures beyond hazardous materials, the same team can pick those up without bringing in a second contractor.
The surveyor handling your IHM is your point of contact throughout, not a coordinator relaying messages between departments. That keeps technical detail accurate and means decisions on scope or timing happen on the spot.
Our team combines deck, offshore and engine department experience with shore-based documentation work, plus direct exposure to OVID and CMID inspection standards. That mix is what lets an IHM hold up under survey, not just look complete on paper.
Yes. Once sampling and documentation are ready, we handle submission and follow-up with Class and Flag directly, so approval does not stall waiting on emails from your side.
Send us your vessel details and current documentation. We will review the scope and advise on the next steps.
